The Chinese Maritime Safety Administration signed an agreement on Wednesday with the Chinese State Shipbuilding Company (CSSC) to collaborate in the smart ships and marine environmental protection sectors.
Together with the Chinese Maritime Safety Administration, CSSC will work to develop an smart transport, smart inspection systems and smart transport tracking systems development plan.
The two sides will focus on researching and developing new ships that will work with new types of energies and new environmental protection projects that will save energy. This partnership plans to design new strategies to promote the reduction of emissions of greenhouse gases emitted from ships.
Starting with South Korea’s successful autonomous ship tests and new ideas in the maritime industry, autonomous and smart sea vehicles and systems are increasingly continuing in the maritime industry with the incentives of governments and investors.
