Total, joins the decarbonization research and development center.

Total joins Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Zero Carbon Shipping Center as a strategic partner. In line with its commitment to work with its customers to reach Net Zero, it accelerates its R&D program for shipping solutions.

The Research and Development center, located in Copenhagen, aims to support and contribute to the decarbonisation of the maritime industry. A private initiative launched with the support of the Møller Foundation.

ABS, A.P. Møller – Mærsk, Cargill, MAN Energy Solutions, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, NYK Lines and Siemens Energy are members of the initiative.

Total joins the initiative and joins forces with leading players in the maritime industry to develop new low-carbon alternative fuels and carbon neutral solutions. As a member of the Advisory Board, Total aims to provide strategic and technical guidance for the development of the Center’s activities.

Total said: “As a large energy company, we are proud of this new collaboration in line with our Climate Passion to reach Net Zero by 2050. We are actively working to improve the environmental efforts of our customers in the maritime industry. it will pave the way to greener shipping,” said.
